Know Your Doctor
Dr. Tanmay Motiwala was born in Jagdalpur and did his MBBS from Pt.JNM Medical College, Raipur. Dr Motiwala received Mohan Dhar Sharma Gold Medal for Highest marks in aggregate among boys in MBBS Examination. He then did his further training in AIIMS Jodhpur, where he was awarded the MCh degree in Pediatric Surgery. His pursuit to serve his community got him back to Chhattisgarh.
Vision
Dr. Motiwala envisions to improve the surgical care for the pediatric patients in the region. He also has been constantly working on creating awareness about pediatric surgical conditions in the community. He collaborated with Dr. Pena and translated patient education videos for Anorectal malformation and Hirschsprung’s disease. He believes in improving the overall care of the patients and make it accessible and affordable. He also is co-founder of an organization that works on providing preventive healthcare services to school students.
Dr. Motiwala is also co-founder of Swasthya Saathi, a preventive healthcare initiative focused on school health screenings across Chhattisgarh.

He has served as a member of Innovative Spaces group of International Pediatric Endosurgical Group (IPEG) and currently serving as Co-opted EC member of Indian Association of Pediatric Surgeons.
Research and Publications
Dr. Motiwala has been actively involved in research and presented his research papers and posters in more than 30 conferences (both Domestic and International). He has multiple publications in journals along with a book chapter in Standard Treatment Guidelines by IAPS.
